Adventures: Disneyland!

We went to DISNEYLAND! Two days of pure happiness from open to close.

The crowds were not bad, so we rode the bigger rides --Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Pirates, Splash Mountain-- at least 5 times. It's a Small World is also one of my favorites. Disney just has a way of making even the simple rides so magical and entrancing.

The parades during the day and shows at night are super fun.  I seriously almost cried during the fireworks show, because I was overwhelmed with joy.

My dream of meeting Peter Pan did not come true, but we did get some quality time in with Minnie & Mickey. (plus I got their autographs in my book I've had since I was 10)
...On to the not-so-great-phone-photos :)

It was also our first time at Cars Land.  My favorite part was all of the neon signs at night.

Dan wore Oswald the Lucky Rabbit ears while I sported a Peter Pan hat. It's always hard to pick out the perfect souvenir. I wanted everything at the World of Disney store.

I could go on and on about how much I love all things Disney. What is your favorite Disney movie?

Adventures: The Neon Boneyard

A while back, we explored The Neon Museum near the Arts District and Fremont Street in Las Vegas. This off-the-strip gem is home to some of the most iconic and world-famous signs of Vegas' past...thus the term boneyard or graveyard.

With historic facts and witty banter of the tour guide, we wandered through the neon signs with broken light bulbs and chipping paint, but it was beautiful.

I could not resist a photo with the giant S! If you are ever in Vegas, you should definitely check this place out. There are so many more signs than I posted, and the museum even lets you book photo shoots and special events in the boneyard.

Our tour ended just before dusk, so the signs that still had life in them began to turn on. Maybe next time we will take the night tour.

Adventures: Hoover Dam

Daniel's mom came to visit which is the perfect reason to go exploring! With the sun glimmering off of the water and history in every concrete block, the Hoover Dam is a beautiful site to experience.

We went on the tour but didn't get to see where Megatron was held....though we did see Bumblebee later on that day downtown ;)
